Emerging Technology

The Article I read about the Lytro camera made me realize how the cameras that will be coming out in the feature will be able to do much more than the cameras we have today. The Lytro camera allows you to capture everything you see and turn it into a sharp focused picture regardless of how far you are from the object. The Lytro makes this possible by after you take your picture you can, adjusts the focus of the image, record the position, and record the angle at which light rays enter the lenses. In the future I believe that all cameras will allow you to edit your photos in many different ways, far beyond what we can imagine. With that being said not only will cameras advance greatly but photographs themselves as well, which also will affect photography art. What surprised me the most was discovering that the creators of this camera are planning to use the data in a Lytro snapshot to create a 3-D image and to me having a 3-D camera would be pretty cool. I can’t even imagine what kind of fun you could have with a camera like that! Some possibilities for this area of technology are that maybe one day they will invent a video camera that people could use to make the pictures they took seem like they were there in that same spot reliving that moment. Also maybe they will make a camera that you can change the color of your picture right on your camera instead of having to do it online. An example of technology from 2009 that was "emerging" and we now use in 2009 is, intelligent software assistance. Intelligent software assistance is an invention that is used on devices such as the iPhone or any other smart phone. It is where you ask your phone a question and it will tell you the answer or if you wish to be reminded of something this technology can do that as well by setting a date on your phone calendar.
